Lean Academy at Salina Regional Health Center

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a set of tools and strategies for process improvement. Lean Six Sigma in healthcare is a relatively new field that combines Six Sigma analytics and Lean’s speed with the intent of improving patient care quality and reducing cost.

Employees of SRHC & its affiliates must log in to HealthStream to register. Once you are logged in to HealthStream, click the Catalog tab and search for the class you wish to register for.

Lean Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by removing waste and minimizing variability. It uses a set of quality management methods and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization who are experts in these methods. Each LSS project carried out at SRHC follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified value targets, for example: process cycle time reduction, improved patient satisfaction, cost reduction and/or margin increase.

All SRHC staff, including affiliated clinic and hospital staff, are invited to attend. Please register so your attendance can be tracked in Healthstream (does not replace any mandatory education).
