July 23- Diabetes Education, Prevention Of Complications

This program is open to anyone including those newly diagnosed with diabetes, those who have had diabetes for a long time and anyone who simply just wants to learn more. The instructors are nurses and dieticians who are Certified Diabetes Educators, a pharmacist and physical therapist.

Inviting all cancer survivors, their partners and those helping in the fight to join us at this support group. This group provides educational talks, helps with coping and provides a safe place to share and ask questions and learn from others who have faced similar situations. Drinks and snacks are provided. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except November & December).

August 9 - Early Childhood Screening Clinic

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinic today for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. Screenings are also available in Abilene, Chapman, White City, Hope, Solomon and Herington.

September 24 - November 26: FREE Tobacco Cessation Classes

This program consists of 8 one hour group sessions designed to give you the tools and support to quit tobacco. Participants will receive information on strategies to quit and stay quit, how to cope with stress without using tobacco, and medications that might help with the quitting process. This is open to smokers as well as those who use smokeless tobacco.

Diabetes Support Group

These meetings feature interesting and informative speakers and discussion led by pharmacists from Salina Regional Health Center. Each evening will highlight a different diabetes-related topic designed to provide support for diabetics and their families. Door prizes will be awarded to the first 30 attendees!
